Invitation |

Dear Colleagues and Friends:
We extend our invitation to you from Shanghai! You are cordially invited to participate in the 2011 International(Shanghai)Forum on Metropolitan Public Safety and the 2nd Annual Conference of TIEMS China Chapter, which is sponsored by TIEMS China Chapter and will be held in Shanghai on October 13-14, 2011. We sincerely hope that the event will promote development in the field of emergency management and metropolitan public safety.
In recent years, human society faces serious challenges including natural disasters and accidents. Mega disasters have increasingly larger influence and may cause cross-border disturbances. At the same time, the importance of metropolitan public safety and emergency management becomes more and more apparent, and the comprehensive capability in disaster reduction and emergency management in the post-Expo era also has special significance to a city. Therefore, we have chosen Shanghai – a city which has successfully presented the theme of the World Expo ‘Better City, Better Life’ – to be the host of this year’s event, and set the theme as ‘Building a Safer City’.
A large number of officials, experts and scholars from government authorities and emergency response institutions will be invited to make presentations on the forum. Extensive and in-depth discussion and exchange will be based on the exploration of the intelligent urban development samples in the globe and focused on newest approaches, methods and technologies that can be used in accident prevention and preparation, monitoring and early warning, relief and rescue, recovery and reconstruction. The latest achievements in the field of metropolitan public safety will also be presented.
During the same period of the forum, important events such as the UN Asian Pacific Humanitarian Partnership Meeting and the 2011 Third (Shanghai) International Disaster Reduction and Safety Exhibition and Conference will be held concurrently in Shanghai to help you better understand the new trends and explore the new markets.
Dear colleagues and friends, let us join hands to create a better prospect for the emergency management and public safety business.
Look forward to your participation! |
